Marty -- are you pondering the purchase of a Prius? My fiance's brother has a Prius. He doesn't think it get exactly as good of mileage as they claimed but he also does a freeway commute.
No, Liz and I bought one in October, but it doesn't get as good mileage as one we rented last summer. It is nearly due for its first service. This may improve the mileage.
A friend of mine and his wife got a Prius, which they really like. It's a car that wouldn't fit my life at the moment--I don't think I could cram two larger dogs into it. If I had a couple of weenie dogs, though. . .
